# Invalid default billing handle when updating a domain

## Symptoms

When trying to update a domain the following error is being thrown:

```
Invalid default billing handle!
```

## Cause

Software issue. Billing handle is being passed to API calls of domains whose extensions don't support this type of a handle.

## Workaround

Navigate to **Account > Settings > Default domain contacts** page and set a default billing handle.
