# gTLD domain owner email is changed, but email verification reminders still sent to old address

## Symptoms

gTLD domain owner email verification is started, then domain owner email changed to another one, but former email address still receives verification reminders.

## Cause

Once email verification is started, it is finishes either once address is verified, or verification deadline is reached, regardless of the current domain owner email.

## Resolution

Email either should be verified or notifications ignored until deadline. Once its reached - notifications stop.

**NB:** Verification reminders should be ignored only if one is sure there are no handles with this email tied to gTLD domains. Otherwise, these domains will be suspended
